SAY Award ‘longlist’ nomination

ÉC awards, press

We are delighted that Grind is up for Album of the Year!

This year’s Scottish Music Industry Association (SMIA) Scottish Album of the Year (SAY) Award longlist of 20 albums includes our very own Grind.  As you can imagine we’re in pretty good company.

Here’s what it’s all about:

Now in its fourth year, The SAY Award has grown – with the invaluable support of Creative Scotland and PPL – to become Scotland’s most prestigious music prize. Championing a twenty strong longlist and then a shortlist of ten (with a £20,000 prize for the winner and £1,000 for each of our nine other shortlisted albums), The SAY Award accommodates Scottish music in all its influential, inspiring and idiosyncratic glory.
Based on votes from 100 Nominators across Scotland’s music industry and the wider arts community, this year’s SAY Award Longlist represents the highest scoring titles from a list of nearly 150 nominated albums.

Bring on the top ten please!
